Caspian

For this commission I worked with a selection of photos that where sent to me, as you can see below.

through studying a few of the photos I worked out a composition that worked best for the portrait selecting elements from each - colour, pattern, eyes facing forward, smile, detail of hair etc.

This was a last minute surprise birthday present for my clients sister, I worked on the painting over a few evenings. I am told that her 2 year old son Caspian was pleased to recognise himself on the canvas straight away!
