Nana

A tribute to my old college friend Nana. Studying a Btech in Art and Design at North Lindsey college was a really fun couple of years full of amazing memories! Nana was a good friend and amazing inspiration to all on the course, we were lucky to study with him. Nana was clearly very talented and creative and shared his artistic skills so freely. The skills I learnt from Nana in creating intricate Photoshop illustrations really helped me to shine when I went on to study Graphic Arts at university.

The portrait of Nana was painted to be shown as part of an exhibition at Cafe INDIEpenedent in Scunthorpe March 2015 - May 2015. Nana and his team at LTBL productions where involved creatively with the cafe and its development into an amazing creative hub for local people so it seemed a fitting place for the tribute to be shown.   

I have a portrait of myself illustrated in Photoshop by Nana that I commissioned while at college, he was charging us a fiver for these to build his portfolio up. As a portrait artist now, having a portrait of myself done by Nana is something I will treasure and will always bring back good memories of college days!
