In February this year I went to London to participate and engage in 5 days of dynamic workshops (Poetry writing & performance, Film Making, music) hosted by SHAKE!
SHAKE! is a project that brings together young people, artists & campaigners to develop creative responses to social injustice.
I got to experience working in media that I don't normally work in with very inspiring people.
I worked with the film group, facilitted by Nuwave pictures, filming around London and we collaborated with the poetry group to put together a short film.
I went back to London in the summer to help edit the film, picking up skills in Final cut Pro where I pieced together parts of the scenes that we shot, I also had my voice recorded reading sections of the poem to be included in the video! enjoy below:

In June I was invited to be one of the co-hosts at the SHAKE! showcase, it was an honour to introduce so many of the talented people I met to the stage, and introduce and talk about the film that we produced together.
SHAKE! have featured a blog post about me on their site which was also a great confidence boost as speaking on stage isn't something I would normally volunteer for so this was a big step for me and I really enjoyed the evening!
